How to increase distance betwen gridlines when using perspective tool

OS: Ubuntu 16.04

GIMP: 2.8.22

When i want to use the perspective tool (in fact, any other tool too - like the rotate tool), with a small image, I find that the grid lines are so close that I cannot make out whether i have moved the corners/ rotated the image sufficiently.

Is there any way to reduce the number of grid lines or increase the distance between them in such a case?

You can change the number of lines in the tool options



Also in the drop down menu are other options, center lines, rule-of-thirds etc.

Thanks. I was able to change. I Must read about all the details of the tools whenever I use them. May be, you can have a new class, 'sub junior Gimper'
