Most of those old scripts break in Gimp 2.10 , some of them can work by including old Gimp 2.8 plugins. Not neon-logo

I don't know what else to do. Now the scripts won't show up in the Filter window directly.
Multiple re-installs in desperation rarely work with Gimp where the settings remain in your Gimp profile.
I would like to recommend an equivalent replacement but nothing exactly the same. Possibly layerfx.py and outer glow on a text layer.
A link to layerfx.py here: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-How-do...1#pid14221
Thank you very much for your kind help!
I was really confused as neon logo worked fine in some moments when I first installed 2.10 and then it crashed completely. But it makes sense now, I thought it was a problem of my computer.
I'm pretty much a newbie on GIMP; what is layerfx.py ? Is it a filter like neon logo? I entered to that post to read about it but didn't understand.
