More colours, more blending

The main thing for a beginner is to get the line drawing coloured in with layers.

Then for a lot of things:
Layer -> New from Visible to combine layers with out merging.
Alpha-lock that layer.
If a radial gradient required, apply one.

Change background to a solid colour if required.
