You can do that but it won't work that well... because basically you have:
- The Gimp profile for instance #1
- The Gimp profile for instance #2
- The common "storage" directory where two tings are kept: the add-ons, and the ".active" file that is used for book-keeping.
- You start Gimp instance #1 and activate the Collection which is copied to the Gimp profile #1. The ".active" file is updated with Collection.
- You exit Gimp instance #1 and start instance #2, and start the add-on manager: the Collection is marked active (you cannot activate it). But it has not been copied to your Gimp profile #2.
- Of course you can de-activate it, so it is removed from the .active file.
- If at that point you exit Gimp instance #2 and start #1 again, the Collection is not in the ".active" file, while it is still available in the Gimp profile #1.
