Surprised there are no replies. I but but in case anyone uses Instagram. A search says Instagram uses a plain vanilla sRGB profile.
So does Gimp. You can try turning off any Color Management in Gimp.
Edit -> Preferences -> Color Management then Image Display Mode -> No Color Management
That does not allow for any differences in the Computer display and your phone display, brightness / contrast / gamma and also the viewing application in the phone. Some might do their own automatic tweaking. Using an iPhone perhaps.
