64 bit Windows - good, more choice than the legacy 32 bit version.
Get the last version for Gimp 2.8 via the gmic.eu 'browse-all-files' page: https://gmic.eu/files/windows/gmic_2.9.6..._win64.exe
That is an installer and puts a gmic_gimp_qt folder in your C:\Users\"yourname"\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins user profile. screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/mFCpf6B.jpg
You need to add that folder to the Gimp plugins paths Edit -> Preferences -> Folders -> plug-ins https://i.imgur.com/62s4qIS.jpg
Restart Gimp and there should be an gmic entry bottom of the Filters menu. Greyed out until you open an image.
Start gmic up and refresh the filters. There is a search option top of the gmic-filters list. Lots of choice when it comes to color adjustment.
This a 5'-30'' video of the whole process from downloading - installing - using https://youtu.be/4RB7o8qVq94
