That is probably my fault. If you used the 2.03 zip file I provided, it had two sets of resynthesizer plugin and no python plugins. Fixed now.
It should only take a few minutes to install. However it will never produce "two times Gimp"

It is your description of the error that has me baffled "unable to match the color" I have never seen that before and a search of the resynthesizer code shows nothing. If you can give more details, a screenshot of image and plugin dialogue would help.
