Following the directions I first found to save a created pattern to gimp using Export:
1-select Export
2-OS(c
3-users
4-name(15612)
5-AppData -> gimp when i search my cpu is located in appdata roaming
6-when I click on appdata nothing (images A-E)
I also tried locating through the gimp edit menu and was unable to find it image1
I also went into the computer an selected un hide all file per your link.

I am kind of old fashioned, there is no need to quote everything over-and-over.
Basically it is knowing your computer.
No good looking in your MS cloud storage. You need to look in the C: drive and the Users -> Your Name folders.

see the plus sign, click on that to expand, go to the patterns folder, go back and look at the location or use that icon for opening Windows explorer.
