Convert some Photoshop resources (GDR and PAT files) to GIMP's

EDIT: Um... not working well, more or less like tossing a coin for head or tail, depending where I downloaded the PAT, or I got only the first "page" with all other Pages being the first one, or I got wrong colors or it's all black, or...

It looks like your attempt didn't work out well.

You tried to convert to the .pat format of Gimp, but I will try to convert to an image format (pgn, jpg) and then with them open in gimp converts them to .pat.

A PS pattern .pat is very different from a Gimp .pat Most are multi-layer and if you put them in your patterns folder you get that typical error message. This one similar to yours

What is possible for (some) PS patterns is a pattern loader ps_pat_load plugin see: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=...ext#p83933  That opens a PS pattern file same as you would any other image. File -> Open. Then you can export layer(s) for Gimp.

That reference is old and I do not know how it copes with up-to-date PS .pat files.  This is the most recent PS .pat I could easily find. Seems to be from 2020 but no info on the PS version used (comes from https://myphotoshopbrushes.com/patterns/id/3913/ ). Not something I use often, looks like I might have compiled the plugin myself for 64 bit linux sometime but the PS .pat looks like this opened in Gimp.

@rich2005, I tried to find out the PS version used, but all I could find is that the tutorial was published on Feb 15, 2023.

I intend to test the 'loader ps_pat_load plugin' but I'm not sure how to proceed.

I think that:
1- I must put the 'ps-pat-load_1.exe' file in the Gimp plugins folder;
2- But what is the 'sources' folder for?
Unzipping the ps-pat-load_1.7z that is inside this folder, the ps-pat-load_1.c file appears. What should be done with this file?

After not finding any solution in the searches made by the online search engine, I initially had the idea of asking some PS user to open this .PAT and send me his images.
But then I remembered Photopea's online option where I could try it myself.

Somehow, digging through the menus I managed to get the images. I saved them as .pgn and now have them in my Gimp as .pat.

But it was tedious having to repeat the same process frame by frame. I think that the option you gave, if it works, will speed up this process a lot.
