Try the attached: Unzip and put photolab_curvebatch-gs.py in your Gimp 2.8 profile C:\Users\"yourname"\.gimp-2.8\plug-ins. Remember to remove the old version
This is a quick hack and only for grayscale images. It changes the color mode to RGB, applies the curve, changes back to color mode grayscale. Only for grayscale, any RGB images will give an error
I always give these a try-out. This in Win7 / Gimp 2.8.20

Edit: I still recommend BIMP It does not matter if the images are RGB or grayscale.
