Not sure if it's a Windows update. As I understand it it is more a rather common antivirus package called CrowdStrike.

I head that the fix is to boot the PC in recovery mode and erase a couple of files. But since it's recovery mode it cannot be scripted, so IT support is getting a little swamped.
