Yes, something strange with multi-window mode. With KDE easy to pin windows on top but that fails as well. I wonder if it is a linux "thing". I do have a Gimp3 python plugin that adds selected layers to a layer group. Probably someone will make one to unpack. All I do at the moment is select the layers and drag out of the group.

Yes, very good. I replaced previous version with the one I downloaded yesterday. Even the home compiled gimp_gmic_qt ('buntu 24.04) plugin works without any "tweaking".
