Does Windows 11 hide its font files?

Add a copy of the RockWell font files in your Gimp profile fonts folder: C:\Users\"yourname"\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\fonts

The copy makes it available in Gimp, the original installation for Open Office .....

I did copy the Rockwell font files that I downloaded to AppData\Roaming\GIMP\2.10\fonts. I get the impression that the Rockwell Nova fonts that I got from the Microsoft Store  no longer exist as files on my system, only as entries in some kind of "central database of installed fonts" that Windows 11 maintains.
