I have installed these in the dim-n-distant pastSort of work although from memory there was a registration nag.

As well as the PS .8bf plugins (not used) there are Windows .exe files for each plugin and that is what the Gimp plugins use via the python plugins.
My advice is, do not bother. You can get the same results using Gimp but by different routes. See what is possible using the gmic Gimp plugin.
