On Linux we have an easy life: we create the ~/.fonts directory (which is owned by the user) and put the fonts in it, if we don't like them we delete them, even if there are programs to manage fonts the old system always works.
I read that on Win 10 they created a folder for the user's fonts, and it could be used in a similar way.
But I live in a parallel universe where Windows was not invented, here Bill Gates has a newsstand and is a famous newsagent, all the inhabitants of the area appreciate him for his cultural initiatives.
