Yeah... I wanted to like it many years ago to have a FLOSS instead of XnView, so I tried it again today.... but still the writing under the thumbnails takes unbearably too much space thus I have a lot less thumbnails to see in the thumbnails view mode than in XnView, also the "view" cannot be customized and you got a row of thumbnails that you need to slide left ➤ right << left.... and other things...

I truly want to like it, but I can't, if you know how to customize those, please tell me Wink

This made me hate it more, look just this preview type Big Grin
When you have hundreds of photos to cull.... I mean seriously.... it's the least efficient way to cull going thru hundreds of thumbnails and having a preview  Angry

To have an overview for many, I usually use the thumbnails tab.

Yes but you cannot have the "Preview" the way XnView can be customized, I mean you need to switch between thumbnails and the other view type... It's not efficient (but if you know how to customize it, although I did not found how, I'm willing to try it again)

I cull with Gwenview. On my PC I have Home/End/Insert/Delete in a row in the top tight corner, so, I configured the keys as:
  • Home: previous
  • End: next
  • Insert: toggle 100% zoom (check focus)
  • Delete: trash (and display next)
I display the first image fullscreen, I put three fingers on the last three keys (Home not used much) and I can cull at two images/second, not using thumbnails.
