Does Windows 11 hide its font files?

If someone in GIMP development is already aware of the differences in font management under Windows 11, the information doesn't seem to have found its way into the manual yet. Undecided
Welp... something seems to have changed since I last checked! The GIMP 3.0 User Manual now says:

Quote:Microsoft Windows

There are several ways to install a font system-wide:

-- Drag the font file into the Fonts directory C:\Windows\Fonts .

-- Install the font via the Settings app. In Windows, go to Settings, select Personalization, then from there go to Fonts.

That second way is apparently what I used for installing the Rockwell Nova fonts that GIMP 2.10 couldn't find. It sounds as if GIMP 3.0 is now meant to be able to find them.
