Edit photoshop image text and photo
#1
Hi all, hope you’re well. Gimp noob here.
I have a photoshop created image I need to edit.
I don’t have the base graphic, only compete versions. I need to edit the text and also a photograph within the image. Can anyone please how to do this?
I’m on 2.10.32
Thanks

A photoshop created image ? Is this in PS format, a something.psd or is it in some other format something.jpg ( / tif / png ...)

Whatever it is, give the gory details or preferably post the original file on some file sharing site such as drop box or similar.

It’s a PNG. I’ve asked our previous contact for the base graphic but I’ll still need to add text, photos, etc.
Can I attach the graphic in here or does it need to be a link?

Well, top of the page is a 'help' link 'Attachments' this one https://www.gimp-forum.net/misc.php?action=help&hid=11

You are ok up to a file size of 500 MB otherwise use a file sharing service.

Back to the question

Most things are possible to a certain extent. A png image is a single layer. Text is no longer text, it is part of the image. It can often be 'cloned-out' recreating the background and new text substituted. Editing part of the overall image ? Really do need to see what is involved and requirements to give advice.
