I have a Genius EasyPen i405x. Whenever I open GIMP it is greyed-out in Input Devices. If I go to LibreOfficeDraw it works. Re-opening GIMP shows it in Input Devices and it then works. This is only a minor irritation, but a solution may help others.
GIMP 2.10.12
Ubuntu 18.04
More importantly, I think it is overdue that there be a vote of thanks to Rich, Ofnuts and others who give their unstinting help on this and other websites.

Hi David
The problem with you're having the Genius EasyPen i405x on Ubuntu is similar to what I was having with Wacom Intuos Art on SolydK another Debian offshoot, that was an irritation with no solution in sight, got tedious after a while.
Your post reminded me that I had not tried the Wacom tablet since moving to Netrunner Rolling an Arch offshoot, more than six months ago.
I definitely have put that on the to do list next week, do that next week for sure, see how it works and let you know.
Yes I agree > I also think it's overdue that they get my vote of thanks to Rich, Ofnuts and don't forget Blighty,

We all like to say THANK YOU.
