I removed the image background and followed all the steps before running the Da Big Gimp Plugin but I'm not getting the result desired, Some of the background remains and the Image has a halo. 

I'm using Gimp 2.1 with Da Big Gimp Plugin V3

Anyone help please.

Since this is a commercial product, a plugin for engraving purposes, you should ask the plugin author for a fix (or your money back)
However, for general, removal of background, can you describe quote - followed all the steps There are any number of ways to remove a background.
