Make an image darker bolder.

Several ways:

1) Filters>Generic>Erode

2) Color select the lines ( ), Select>Grow by the necessary quantity then Bucket-fill the selection. For smoother edges, two ways:

- Select>Feather by one or two pixels before the bucket-fill
- Select>To path followed by Select>From path before the bucket-fill
