I wonder if the menu isn't showing up or you don't know where to find it?

Check the Edit menu - Brush strokes on path...

Please see the installation instructions at the bottom of the page. You shouldn't put the ZIP in the plug-ins folder, you should extract the Python code (.py)and put it in the plug-ins folder. And you can extract the HTML doc and the images in the ZIP, too, and have a read.

Using linux... Which distro and Gimp version - from repo / snap / flatpak ?

Some do not support python plugins

Have followed all instructions
extracted zip
made py executable
put in first scripts folder root/.config/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins

draw line using paths, right click in path nothing under stroke
also clicked on path windoe and do not get decorate.

using puppy linux using ubuntu repo
gimp version 2.10.18

Script-fu is unconnected to your problem.

It isn't a question of enabling Python but of making sure that the .py file for the script is executable - use nemo/nautilus/your file browser to check the permissions for the file and make sure that it is executable.

I did a little looking up yesterday and a Gimp 2.10.18 is default for Ubuntu 20.04 which comes without python sup[port.

There are ways to add python support but OP's system is Puppy linux and as far as I know does not support apt-get which might grab the gimp-python packages.

It might be possible to run an appimage https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=3771 There is an old Gimp 2.10.22 appimage but Puppy is a lightweight linux typically used with limited resource computers. Might / might-not work.
