RemoveBG, how to install it?
#11
Intelligent select - Sometimes use it, kubuntu 24.04 / Gimp 2.10.38 appimage with python. Python 2.7 needed for the plugin.

Had to do a little checking, It comes from here: https://gitlab.com/pgicquel1/iselect-gimp-plugin quite a big download 127 MB.

There is an installation script which pulls in python-pip & virtualenv - it is 3 years old - does it still work ? I do not know.

Not 100%, it does struggle with canvas boundaries for example, but can be a starting point, use the selection for a layer mask.

That looks promising, Rich.  I'm definitely going to give it a try and will check back in later today or Monday and let you know how it went. Smile

As much as I'd like to have this, for now, I believe I'll pass.  I started running the installation script and the first thing it wanted me to do was to update the kernel.  That's seems a little much for a plugin.  Maybe I'm being overly cautious but, right now it doesn't seem worth the hassle.

Thanks for the assistance anyway, Rich.
