You will find it hard going with just a collection of paths.
1. Some hints.
You can copy and paste a path from one image to another. The keyboard shortcuts for that are not set so instead of a lot of clicking set some up.
It might be easier in multi window mode with the paths dialogue follow image unticked.
Some snags
The pasted in paths are not visible until you make them visible.
The arrangement of the pasted in paths is the same as the original.
You can of course just import all the paths into the image and start moving / duplicating as required. In my opinion not much between either method. Both a PITA.
2. Making a otf/ttf font from the paths. Never tried this, a bit old, I assume it still works.

3. Make what I call a pseudo-font for a Gimp, not really my cup-of-tea. I do not like the restrictions imposed by entering text into a script, but there is a forum member well into the procedures. Pages and pages on the subject start here:
