You cant save styles at the moment in Gimp.
I guess it could be scripted, but is it really worth it, considering it takes 30seconds of time to give your text a yellow colour and stroke the path ?
If its just the text you need, you could type it in Inkscape, apply fill and strokecolours, then save, and retype everytime you want to do something with it.
Also adding text to raster images is no problem in Inkscape.
I switch a lot between Inkscape and Gimp, exporting and importing layers, because some things can be made better by combining the strengths of both programs.
