Same question, why use HTT when the PT does the same? In The PT you just align the tool markers with whatever should become vertical/horizontal, so there is very little eyeballing involved.

When I used the perspective tool in corrective mode, I found it irritating that the image is enlarged to the perspective lines I used (or do I miss something) :

As far as I can tell, neither the HTT nor the PT will restore the image to the proper aspect ratio(*). Theoretically in non-corrective mode, you could eyeball the proper aspect ratio when using the HTT, but getting the perspective and the aspect ratio fixed together is really fiddly, it is much faster to fix the perspective first and then scale the result in one direction to fix the aspect ratio.

(*) There is nothing in the image that tells what the proper ratio is. You have to figure it out from other clues.
