Your screenshot is helpful but does not give any indication of image size so my suggestion:
Select a small portion of horizontal line and copy it. Edit -> Copy. You can close the selection now or later if you wish.
The copied selection becomes the very first brush in the brushes dock, the 'clipboard image' brush
Make a new layer under the text, and with the paint tool draw a connecting line. Click on the start point. Hold the shift + ctrl keys to draw a horizontal line. Click on end point.
Use the eraser tool to delete the part of the line around the text.
