how to get tool box properties back?

    I seem to have lost my toolbox properties. How do I restore them?

Try the Gimp menu Windows -> Dockable Dialogues top of the list is Tool options.

That puts a tab in with brushes, etc, Click and drag the new tab to under the ToolBox. Use the little drop down menu to lock in place.

Sometimes Windows users have problems dragging the tab, all you can do is try.

Me being less than observant. You use MacOS. I do not have a MacOs VM anymore but I believe it is the same.
