Monitor picture quality adjustment & photo from printer

I am using an LG ultra HD monitor. I used the LG standard color setting for this model. 

Noted that the photo printout quality (Epson L360) is different than what I see on the monitor.

Like to know how can I set my monitor and printer such that the picture quality will be about the same as on my monitor, printed photos from my printer AND from photo studio.

I saw a device to calibrate the monitor before. Cost stops me from venturing that path. Any better cheaper way?

It is really a matter of calibrating the whole chain, and setting up color profiles for your screen and your printer.

There is no real substitute for a correct monitor calibration .icm but often monitor default brightness is too high.

My layman's view is like what you have stated. But I am wondering on how to do it.
