Ubuntu 16.04

Using a snap version? Something like this bug https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/issues/3217

Try a flatpak Gimp see: https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

I used that in kubuntu 16.04 and it worked ok.
