To be honest, I can not see any improvement over the old Sinc(Lanczos3) algorithm.
Comes to sharpening before exporting, the new UnSharp mask tool is nice, you can split the screen to compare before and after before applying. Still ended up with gmic-for-2.9 and the sharpen(texture) filter.
