Hi, my first post on the forum and I'm really new to Gimp, so bare with me please.
I want to make an animated Gif, I have the basic concept and managed to animate and export, but it took so long and I never compleated the project, my problem is, I'm trying to animate two wheels, so I use the elipse tool to select, then shift and R to rotate the first wheel and that works fine, but, when I select the next wheel it selects fine, but won't rotate and the first wheel disapears, I'm sure there must be an easy way to do this, but I've got to the point where I'm fed up of trying different ways and forgot how I managed to do my first little animation, tied myself up in knots, I think, could any kind person give me a little advice?

how do i reverse frame animation order where i have maybe hundreds of frames?   seems odd that the default should choose to do everything backwards.

also is there a way to have the default frame time anything except for 100ms?
if so or even if not is there a way to change frames times over several frames at the same time rather than changing them individually by editing their layer name?

I'm an infrequent GIMP user and several months ago I used the crop tool and and was able to set the aspect ratio. Today when use the crop tool, I can't seem to open the section where the aspect ratio is set. I've looked online but can't seem to find a solution. It's probably a simple setting I'm overlooking.

I installed from package manager but it installed 2.10 as default.

How Can Install Gimp versiyon 3.0 on Garuda ( Arch) Linux.

Can projects that I can with Photoshop done with Gimp?
I learned from another forum.
Someone told me :

" Degrade and GFX ( I don't know what they are really) in Photoshop is not in Gimp and they are important.

Are they really important and Is Gimp good much like Photoshop?

Hey yall,

I recently downloaded GIMP and have just started to learn the software. Through my experimenting, I have noticed a few performance issues.

When I simply try to move an image after selecting it, it lags behind my cursor. In addition, when I use the foreground select tool, it takes around 10 seconds to show the preview. I am surprised about these performance issues because I have a capable system. Ryzen 4900, rtx 2060, 16gb ram. 

When I checked the task manager, the CPU usage never went above 40 percent, and the GPU was at 0 or 1 percent. 

Is there a way I can fix these performance issues?

I had 24 years in the I.T. Industry. I am well versed in Forums. I have looked in my Profile for "Signature" to make a Signature File. To no avail!

I used the "Help" and searched for "Signature File". There are no instructions on how to "effectively" use this Forum Board's functions. 

How do I create a Signature File in Gimp-Forum.

I'm new to Gimp 2.10.22 (2 months).

I'm wondering if the text can be offset from the "text along path" circle, either higher or lower. So the path line of the circle isn't running through the middle of the text.

Hi,

I use GIMP 2.10.24 under Ubuntu 20.10 and I would like to improve the speed of my workflow, using my nVidia RTX2070 OpenCL features.

However I did not find any setting in Edit -> Preferences -> System Resources relative to OpenCL or nVidia (screenshot).

Any idea would be welcome.
