Hi everyone, newbie here (old paint shop pro user from the jasc shareware days)
I installed gimp about 4-6 weeks ago to test it again (tired it many yrs ago)
Trying to set it up a way i like the look and feel and found 4 different black themes.
Found 1 i liked thought things were looking good. Then yesterday i tried adding some gimp and psp plugins and everytime it would crash. Even deleting the plugins i could not get gimp to restart start.
So early today i downloaded and installed ver. 20.10.24. Now none of the black themes work, all 4 are all white.
Anybody have any clue???
Thanks - rider
HINT, gimp need to add a black theme

Hi
I am trying to make a layer mask from an image with a busy background. I am using the method where I change the method from RGB to indexed. Everything seems to work fine, in removing the colours, but when I change the image back to RGB, it appears all pixelated, hence after I complete the process to the point where the final image appears on a transparent background, it is STILL pixelated.
I tested this by changing the image from RGB to indexed on a setting of 16, and when I changed it back again, it never returned to the RGB mode>
Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong.
The YouTube clip I used to refer to was one that I save a long time ago, and I think the author was "Rich", but I cannot find the tutorial any more.
Regards
GAZZA

(Not sure if this is the right place for this) but I’ve been seeing this videos of people that use an app (not sure which ones they use) and they take one image and use an outline of another to move and warp one photo to fit the other. It’s almost like the smudge tool except nothings smeared or blurred it’s only warped, I’m not sure how I could replicate this with gimp but I was wondering if anybody knew any tools/settings that could do this (I’ve been looking for a while) any infos appreciated
