Timely assistance earnestly requested.  This HAS to be simple; I am at a loss.

A: See attached –– 'Original - Green Halo'

I seek to Rotate Colors, such that the shaded Greens become shaded grays.  That's it.

I'm familiar with Colors > Map > Rotate Colors... , and can Rotate the Greens to any arbitrary color range.

B: See attached –– 'Edit - Rotated-Color Halo'


There is no end of guidance on the art of manipulating grayscale images into endless variants.  I cannot for the life of me gain insight on the reverse.

Your advice is most gratefully welcome.

Hi guys, I made my custom arcade cabinet with Gimp, based on my favorite trilogy: Back to the future :

Hate mobile phones, have a cheap-ish one for occasional use, turned off most of the time.

Putting it to some use, a 5 euro macro lens, 2 lenses screw together x12 + x12 and a 5 euro mobile clamp. Last of of the big spenders

In action: note the strange colour shift, must investigate that.

...and another at X24 magnification. That is 1 cm diameter and original 2400 pix across. 

   

Make data graphic charts the easy way and save them as .png file (right button click / save as). Click on the bars or pie to change colors :

There are a few possibilities to create a spirograph design in gimp using plugins or filters (ex.: GMic-Qt /Testing / Samj / Rendering / Spirographe). One can also use other software with other/more possibilities. The one I like is 'spirograph 2' :

If the design made with this generator is according to one want, then one can click on the button 'Show SVG', copy the generated data from the window that show up, paste it in notebook and save it as a .svg file. One can load this file with all the used colors in Inkscape or as paths in gimp.

I am using gimp 2.10.22
I would like to place text on a circle and use a background image to fill the text. I have found tutorials for both but not together? I have attached the text image.

First, let me say I am not techy. I installed gimp and am using it to scale photo's (I paint art). I also convert to Black and White. For some reason every time I go into artistic waterpixels it freezes, I opt to wait for the system to respond and 8 minutes later I can move a choice a few digits and it freezes again. I have removed gimp, reinstalled gimp, disconnected from the internet, etc, etc. This seems to be the only option to date that this happens to and of course its the one I need. Can anyone help me in non techy terms?

The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.


It's weird my super blade pro 1.8 was working perfectly fine then all of the sudden it stopped working I have tried removing it and reinstalling. Still not working. any help I would be ever so grateful
