Difficulties in using script-fu from 2.8 |

Hello everyone. This is my first time in this forum.
Some months ago I installed the script-fu from GIMP 2.8 into GIMP 2.10 which contained filters such as neon, alien neon, cool metal, etc.
Everything worked fine but some weeks ago out of the sudden the "neon" filter started working incorrectly. Every time I applied it —the exact same way I did it before— an invisible square showed up in the middle of the figure I was working on and the neon filter did not apply there.
I tried everything: removing the scripts, installing them again, uninstalling and reinstalling GIMP, etc.
I don't know what else to do. Now the scripts won't show up in the Filter window directly. I've really started to lose hope and I feel very frustrated but the Neon filter honestly rocks and I really wish I could work with it again.
I thank you all in advance.

Automatic Resizing of Window After Image Scale Change |

I've used GIMP for more than a decade and after a computer refresh and re-installation I am having a few issues that I can't seem to get back to how they were. Most I am getting accustomed to but the one I cannot deal with is every time I change an image scale or crop, the actual GIMP program window crops down to that size, meaning I have to maximize the program constantly. Is there a setting that locks the full screen mode? I can't seem to find it nor any information about it happening to others when I search for resizing+window. Thank you in advance. I am on Windows 10 Pro and using GIMP 2.8.22

Path generation with scripts |

I have a rather specific and esoteric problem, or at least I think so.
Ultimately, I want to generate a path from a set of points/vectors/contours via a gimp script. This path should then be copied onto a jpg (the original source of the points/curves/contours). The resulting image has to have the path we created visible and editable in Photoshop.
All of this happens inside a Linux server; I work in Java mostly. To be clear, this has to work via CLI.
My questions are:
1) Is this possible at all?
2) What do the parameters need to look like if it is?
What I found in my quest to solve this problem is the 8BIM path specification from adobe, but that's about all I have right now
I would be very grateful if someone can give me some pointers in the right direction
