I created three different lines using the paths tool and wanted to stroke each path with a different color.  Each time I try to stoke with a different color, all three paths change to that color.  How do I isolate the paths from one another?

Hi, I've been working on a card game and I'd like the position of each text to be consistent.

My problem is that as soon as I type the letter "d" the font shifts slightly downward.
I can't change it back to its correct position either, gimp doesn't seem to recognize it as an actual change in positioning.
I tried seeing if I'd have the same problem in a drawing program, had about the same size, and no shift happened.

I'm using an external font I downloaded, Aquifer.
I'm thinking it could be the Aquifer font itself as I had some problems with it before in gimp.

Can anyone help me?

Does anyone have an idea on how to get rid of the extra fonts (for other alphabets, etc.) from GIMP in Linux Mint (Cinnamon)?  I have Fonts Manager and those fonts disabled but they still show up in GIMP.  Thanks in advance for any help!

The image below is made in Autodesk Inventor and i am trying to illustrate Foam
getting injected from a doorway sanitiser to the floor.

What function could i use to make the foam look somewhat realistic?

I have not been able to find any tutorials on that particular subject.

Hello. New Gimp user here, so hopefully posting in the right place. Using GIMP 2.10.14 on Mac, I would like to create a background image/wallpaper for a website similar to the attached--please see (also here is a link to the sample background image: adpartnersagency.  Edit: that is a bit too close to advertising, this the one with the three images - https://i.imgur.com/jKOLzeP.jpg - rich). So basically I am looking to:

1. Place three original images across one canvas, creating a single new image.
2. Have all three original images on the canvas / new image separated by two equidistant diagonal lines.

Any help as to the best way to do this would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I don't really know anything about photoshop. But I was using the free select tool and I'm zoomed in so that I can see the individual pixels. But for some reason it keeps on going into a triangle or something.

Hi everyone i am learning gimp (2.10.18 Linux version) usage and i have found several tutorials for the basics but not for more complex tasks. For example i have an image A which have car parked on a street and i have another image B which shows a blue caribbean sea. Let's say i select the car from the image A and want to use that car to select and cut or copy a car shaped caribbean sea and copy it in the image A instead of the car so that where originally was the car it would be a sea with the shape of that car. Is there any way to do that? Thanks in advance

My align tools are greyed out and don't do anything when I click them(see image in link). Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Hi!

I am a GIMP newbie.

I was able to create an outline of the text "A" by using "Select>grow" command as shown in my attempt here. The red A is the grown 'A' and is on one separate layer and 'thin' black/original 'A' is on another layer. The red 'A'  layer is below the black 'A' layer. 

However, what I want is the subtraction of the grown text and actual text. In other words, I just need the outline and want the black 'A' region to become transparent. So I am looking for some kind of boolean operation of these two layers. 

Is there a way to do it? I would appreciate if you can point me in the right direction.

I've been struggling with this for a while and i can't find any relevant threads/forums addressing a similar issue.

Every time i want to create a custom brush, I get an error

"New Brush Message

Error while executing script-fu-paste-as-brush:

Error: Procedure execution of file-gbr-save failed: Running procedure 'file-gbr-save-internal' failed: execution error"

I use a macbook air.

Could someone help me? Thanks so much.
