Change a specific color by another

Hi there ! I'm currently using GIMP to recolor some pokemon sprites and I wanted to know if it's possible to change every specific color present on the image by another, for example, I want all paleturquoise pixels to be turned into dark turquoise pixels without having to change manually the color of each pixel. ? If it's not possible, is it possible to select all pixels of a specific color in the image (actually I'm not talking about that magic wand) so that all paleturquoise pixels are highlighted/selected ?
Thanks in advance !

Hello Guys,
I just started working with Gimp and it's pretty easy - so far. But i got a small Rpobnelm: I Have a layour with only black strips (about 2%) and a white Background. But this Background should be transparency, not white.
According to the Manual, i used the "Color to Alpha" Tool (I don't know, how is called in english. I hope, u understand). So i grapped the color, that's just "ffffff", got the Transaprency Threshold to 0,000 and the opacity threshold to 1,000. But it doesn't work.
What can i do about that?
Have a nice day,
Daniel

wrapping text round an invisible pipe

Hi, I've looked at several videos that describe how to distort text in different ways, but none have tried to achieve what I want: As if you have an invisible, horizontal, pipe that you've stuck a text label to, and then looked at it off to one side so you can see the curve in the text. In other words, so that the text is pulled sideways to the right in the middle of each character, as if it was stuck to the side of a pipe.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Mike Hersee
I've just realised an error - it's showing as Gimp version 2.8, which I entered because it was the one I've used most, but I've now got 2.10.12. I can't see how to change that in my profile.

Missing toggle on Dodge/Burn tool in 2.12

In previous versions of GIMP, I've been able to toggle between dodging and burning with the down arrow by Mode at the top of Tool Options. Since upgrading to 2.12 the entire Mode line is grayed out and the arrow does nothing. I'm stuck in Dodge mode. All other functions perform normally.
If this is a bug, how do I report it?

Where is icon to start gimp when installed with macports

I have installed gimp 2.10 with macports because I was unable to get it to run from the gimp 2.10 download.
Now that it has been installed by macports, how can I run it by selecting it in my Applications file? I have to open terminal and enter gimp on the command line to get it to run at this time.
I have macOS Mojave 10.14.6.
