I'm aware of the technique of creating an arc with the Paths Tool>Text Along Path but here's what I'd like to do. If I have an existing arc in an image (i.e.. a solid object or a geometric shape), how can I place text in a curve along its outline?

Hey, I want to refresh my Logo. The Letters and shapes were build on bad pixel at least by widescreen. I figured out how to convert letters and path with ai to .svg (Vector), it’s so sharp.

All of a sudden, while I was working on a Gimp document, in Gimp 2.10 on my Mac, instead of drawing a regular brush/pencil stroke, started drawing a weird "trail" of overlapping circles in my foreground colour at different shades and opacities. This happens with both the Paintbrush and Pencil tools, and in fact it also erases with the Erase tool in the same fashion.

Troubleshooting: I created a new document and the same happens. I exited Gimp, went back in, created a new document, and the same happens. I rebooted my computer: no help. I uninstalled Gimp and re-installed it, rebooted, changed nothing on the tool defaults, and the same happens. I remote connected to the Windows 7 Pro computer at work to see if it's something with my Mac, and Gimp works fine there (though it still may have to do with some interaction with my Mac). Another graphics app (specifically Krita) works fine on my Mac.

Any ideas?

I love the ShareX function called "Cut out" - where you can cut out a middle section of an image and then it automatically merges the left/right or upper/lower parts of the image (see attached screenshot from ShareX).

Can this be done just as easily with GIMP?

first a short introduction to myself: i am a retired photographer and have changed to Linux (Debian 12) using darktable and gimp. Everything works well with one exception: i can't configure my graphics tablet to better support my workflow.

So, first the facts: Debian 12 with Gnome, Gimp 2.10.34, Wacom Intuos Pro Small (PTH-451)

I want to utilize the keys and the wheel while using Gimp, but looking at Input Devices the Options available are xwayland-tablet-cursor/eraser/pad/stylus , but no options to use the keys or the wheel. Pushing the Wheel Button it says : Wacom Intuos Pro and that's it

As there is no Driver or support from Wacom i am just wondering how to utilize these functions.
