I have a photo (of a big sunflower head) and a mathematical figure (many big red dots). The photo is somewhat distorted and needs transforming by trial and error, to have the dots fit on top of it. Making one layer transparant is no solution because fuzzy views won't do. Nothing I tried so far with GIMP allows to manually adapt the photo (Perspective, say) while the layer on top of it remains unchanged as if on a glass plate.

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to use Gimp Online to edit online, on the fly, a photo in Google Photos, so you don't need to download it in order to work with it.
If I use the right-click context menu in Chrome Gimp Onlime, I can indeed edit a copy of the photo, but I can't find the way to actually update the copy stored in Google Photos.
Thanks in advance!

Hi
I have a semi-transparent background with a black gradient circle in the middle. The circle is solid in the middle and gets more transparent as it goes towards the edges. How do I make the background totally transparent without loosing the gradient soft edges? Cutting around won't work. I tried the magic wander but it for some reason selects the whole image. Thanks

| Resynthesizer for 2.10.24 - how to add plugin? |

I have GIMP 2.10.24 (flatpack) running on Linux Mint 20.1 Cinnamon.
I have downloaded what I believe to be the correct version of Resynthesizer and extracted the files into the "Downloads" folder.
However, when I try to locate the Plugins folder, I get a message that it doesn't exist. This is by going to Edit>Preferences>Folders>Plug-ins and then clicking on the "Show file location in the file manager" button.
I've tried looking for it manually, but to no avail, and yes I've pressed Ctrl + H to show hidden files.
Question: Has anyone successfully added the plugin to GIMP 2.10.24?
If you have, please can you tell me how you did it and where you got the Resynthesizer package from?
Thank you in anticipation of a positive response.
