I'm trying to print an image with a white turn, I can't seem to have the same margin on the right as on the left
I simulated an image which seems to me centered (I am not a specialist in Gimp), when I print, I have 1cm on the left and 1.4cm on the right.
I print on a Brother, I have tried everything, I can't seem to have the same margin on the right and on the left. In the aut and downstairs it's perfect.
Do you have an idea

Hi can someone please help me with my problem? I've been using the gradient tool to put a rainbow color on my image's border however the color that's been showing is grey.

   

I am using Scientific Linux 7, a clone of RHEL 7 and installed 2.10.20 via flatpak. I am finding that there is an offset between the cursor and the region from where the clone tool is copying pixels.
The separation and angle  between both will change depending where the cursor is located on the screen (see attached figure - clone will be using pixels where the cross is located, while cursor is located at the arrow's position). If either falls outside the window clone will fail. A similar effect happens when cropping the image. Just for the sake of it I also installed 2.10.20 in a Windows 7 virtual machine and there clone works as it should. The same holds true when I run GIMP 2.8 under linux.  Has anyone else found such an effect ?

Rich just told me about creating lines of different colors that worked perfectly. I also read about arrow script which uses paths.

Is there a way to create lines, of different colors, with arrows as you are creating them without having to create a path first or whatever way is most convenient?

I need to draw a series of connected lines but each segment should be of a different color. Is there a quick way (shortcut) to change foreground color without having to do it manually for each segment?

Asking for a friend: Uncommanded color changes between FG and BG within a single stroke using the pencil tool.
 

What additional info should I give?

The check box to save exif data is there and checked but greyed out. I understand libexif is required. I find exif-12.dll in the "Darktable" folder. How is it activated for Gimp?

Hi, I'm new to Gimp and was doing brilliantly until my brushes stopped working.  The 'marching ants' in the active window have been replaced with a dotted green line.  I`ve spent several hours trying to correct this. Can anyone please help?

Hello! I just got my new Wacom one and wanted to test it out in Gimp but ran into the problem that pressure sensitivity (of the pen) is not working. I ran into similar problems before with my last tablet so I tried out a few things:
- connect the tablet before opening Gimp
- check that I was using pressure opacity or a pressure-sensitive setting when using pen or brush
- go to the setting where you can check that gimp recognizes the tablet and put the tablet as "screen" and save.

I also checked whether the problem may be the tablet by downloading a random drawing program and testing it out. There the pressure from the pen works.
I also downloaded the newer 2.10.2 version of Gimp thinking that maybe the older version is not compatible.

If anyone got an idea what I might have to do to make this work I'd love some ideas, I enjoy the new tablet a lot and would love to be able to paint and draw. Please be aware I'm not very knowledgable about the technical sides of Gimp
