Hey Guys. I'm creating stickers, and I want to send to the printer, information that there's a couple of inches of transparency after the edge of the images. I'm making it about 2 to 4 pixels. Something small.

I have the cut out in Gimp, but can't figure out how to do that. 

I have read about the tools and searched the web as well but haven't found an answer. 

Any help is appreciated.

Okay, I have a question.
I have a Picture of a veichle, that I want to change colour of. right now it´s blue, but I want it to "pig-pink". I know how to change the colour, either I do it by making a transparent layer and paint in that(like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfnRntPBS8c ), or I use colour rotation. The problem is, that I can´t paint it with "Pig-pink". If i select that colour it just looks like ordinary pink(see the photo i attatched). I want to paint with the colour i selected. Can someone please help me with how to do?

Hi, Working on windows 10 The color that the eyedrop  “sees” is usually not the one that appears on the display. I  have noticed that the correct color sometimes appears when i click the eyedrop in an area around thr one i am interested in, but not consistently. any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Do I see correctly a change in how the primary GIMP UI behaves? I don't ever recall this happening with 2.8.x but it certainly does happen with GIMP 2.10.x (I used 2.10.8 for these screen shots).

Issue: When I open an image, GIMP will resize its primary UI window based on some attribute of the image size and often (!) I end up with the left side of the GIMP window drawn off screen.

Screen cap one -- no image open, GIMP primary window almost filling the display (sorry, this is large as I have a 2560x1440 display).

I hate this. And it happens a lot. Now to use GIMP I have to move the main GIMP window to the right so see Tools on the left. Very annoying. I've looked through the Preferences and I don't find any option that seems related to "fit image to primary display size" or something along these lines.

What am I missing?

From time to time, I could need some kind of an autofunction to paste multiple images with the same width together as follows:

Picture 2 is pasted to the bottom of picture 1, picture 3 to the bottom of picture 2, etc.

Struggling to find if the xsane-plugin exists for Gimp 2.10.

I have Gimp 2.10 on Mac OS X Sierra (but can use 2.8 back also, when nedded).
Installed xsane with homebrew

But I can't find the xsane-gimp plugin.

Any clue would be warmly welcomed!

Nice forum I am trying to create a motion comic. Just am looking for a simple comic creator program like 'comic life 3' which I have which is perfect for what I am doing but the only problem with it is I want to add simple quick Gif animations (or whatever format that can be used for adding animations) but it will not allow for this :frowning: its solely only still images that can only be used. I came across 'GIMP' which am told could help me in my task here.

I just want to create basic comic formats which merely allows you to use animation formats like gifs in some of the panels.

Can gimp do this? is it capable? Thx.

I want to remove GIMP 2.10 and install 2.8 since one script i created run super fast with no random pauses on 2.8
I looked around for solutions but couldn't find any good one
or i run into all sorts of trouble when I try to configure the unzip the tar.bz2 file

Hi All,

I was watching a video by Davies Media and his gimp page look much different then mine?  I have enclosed what mine looks like, how ever I get not get to the bottom of the page where my foreground/background color is?  I was wondering is someone could show me how to achieve this?  I have watched his video for icons & themes, but it does me no good as mine tools don't look like his?  Thank you in advance for any help you can send my way, as I said I am very new to all of this.

I have a photo of a stone erected at the entrance to a new part of the town, about a century back. The stone is covered with grime etc and I was trying to bring the photo to a respectable form. A portion is blackened with grime and I want to select it and copy the same area from a clear portion of the photo and paste it. Can any one please enlighten me about how to get only the outline of a selection for this purpose.
